This is carded virgin hollowfibre, the filling that goes inside soft toys, cushions and pet beds. Carding matters: the fibre passes through a machine that opens and fluffs it, so it stuffs evenly instead of going in as lumps.

It's hypoallergenic polyester, safe for children's toys and easy to work with whether you're finishing one crocheted octopus or a batch of twenty. A 500g bag fills roughly two 18-inch cushions or a small army of amigurumi; the 1kg and 2kg bags are better value for regular makers.
